Sunlit Reverie
A poem written Friday January 16, 2026, while reading out on the sunlit back patio.
Radiant light that heats my countenance
Soft pulp under my fingertips
Words dressed up in color and beauty
Dance as in a trance
Warmly inviting me into the melody
Sounds of ocean waves sway the leaves
Refreshing my cheek
Greens and reds pierce through the veil
Majestic black bodies fly overhead
Cawing to a tune I made up in my head
